What to specify
In order to produce a calibrated ruler for a specific x-ray room, the potential buyer will have to specify the
following details (see details in red in the illustration below).
1a: For flat table tops measure the distance from table top to the detector (in cm)
1b: For dished table tops measure the distance from the dished top to the detector (in cm)
2: The CR/DR cassette thickness (in cm)
E.g. the flat table top to bucky distance (CTD) for the x-ray table in room 2 is 8.5
cm and CR cassette thickness (CT) is 1.5 cm, the nearest matching ruler
would be 8.5 - 1.5/2 = 7.75 cm -> nearest ruler X-CalibR 8 (see what to order).
